Fuse trips when I power on machine. If I disconnect the two wires going into the top of the boiler (to the heating element I presume) I can power on without the fuse tripping. I noticed some water around this area this morning - no idea how it got there. I've tried drying it thoroughly but that hasn't solved the problem. It's a V4 model.
Your heating element is shorting the circuit by either a leak or just simply "worn out" somehow.
You definitely need to replace the heating element and all gaskets to make sure this will not happen again in the near future.
Gaskets need replacing every 4 years time.
