Question
I've got a Gaggia Synchrony Compact. It seems it's not heating well enough - coffee comes out warm and quite watery. The steamer does work fine which tells me the heating element is still fine. I've tried to descale it multiple times to no avail. Please help!

The temperature of the espresso (30ml) should be 67 degrees +/- 3 degrees in a preheated cup.
However Your coffee maker might brew an espresso with a temperature between 60 and 78 degrees which is acceptable as long as the temperature is consistent at each brewing with the same quantity. Measure the temperature of you coffee with a thermometer.
Watery coffee
You need to reset the grinder as per our troubleshooting guide.

If it does not help you need to take the grinder apart, clean it and check the blades for corrosion or bluntness.
