Hi there,
My machine will no longer grind the beans as it keeps telling me I have no beans in the hopper.... its full! It just grinds for a few seconds before resetting the brew unit dumping out any powered - as if hopper is empty.
Does this machine have a micro switch to tell it that the beans are being ground or similar & if so is it easy to replace?
It still brews preground coffee without issue
I sure it's a simple repair but before I get the screwdrivers out your advice is greatly appreciated

Hi,
Those models are well known for their sensitiveness for oily beans. They simple reject it so you either need to set the grinder coarser with that specific oily beans (after cleaning the ceramic burrs) or investigate further.
If the machine works with non oily beans then it has not got a fault. If it does not work with it then you might need to replace the grinder sensor or the grinder motor.
If this is the case please contact us about it as it might need some modification and we need to see the machine.
