Question
I have cleaned my gaggia classic, dismantled it and cleaned it internally and it is still not working properly
While water does come through it is very slow drips.
The milk frother is working fine and i can produce hot water by having both the steam and water button on
Is there likely to be a problem with a component? eg the pump

In case the shower disc and the shower disc holding plate have been cleaned properly and the boiler has been dismantled and cleaned as well, but you still experience slow or next to no water flow through the brew head (WITHOUT ATTACHING THE PORTAFILTER), then the part that most likely causes the problem is the solenoid valve. You need to dismantle that as well and push a thin wire through the middle bore in the bottom part of the valve, because that is the only effective way of cleaning it. It is also recommended to clean the bores of the group head itself. While a blockage of these is not a frequent occurrence, the possibility can not be ruled out. Once you have done these, you can assemble the machine again, and it should work fine.
